2025 Kia K4

2025 Kia K4 Overview

The 2025 Kia K4 is a newly introduced compact sedan, replacing the Forte/K3/Cerato in Kia’s lineup. It debuted at the New York International Auto Show in 2024, bringing a fresh name and a stronger presence to the compact car segment.

Design & Size
With Kia’s “Opposites United” design language, the K4 features bold fastback styling, hidden rear door handles, and vertical LED headlights and taillights. At 185.4 inches long and 72.8 inches wide, it offers one of the largest footprints in its class, with best-in-segment rear headroom (37.3 inches) and legroom (38 inches).

Powertrain Options
Two engines are available: a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 147 horsepower paired with a CVT/IVT, and a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder delivering 190 horsepower with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The GT-Line Turbo models also feature sportier tuning, multi-link rear suspension, paddle shifters, and sport pedals.

Interior & Technology
The K4’s cabin brings premium features to the compact class, including a nearly 30-inch seamless digital cockpit display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Digital Key 2.0, Harman Kardon audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, and a quiet interior with optional acoustic glass.

Safety & Driver Assistance
The K4 is equipped with a strong suite of driver-assistance systems. Eleven ADAS features come standard, with up to 29 available on higher trims. Key highlights include Blind-Spot View Monitor, Surround View Monitor, and emergency evasive steering assist. Standard rear side airbags bring the total count to eight airbags.

Fuel Economy & Pricing
Base models achieve around 30 mpg city, 40 mpg highway, and 34 mpg combined. GT-Line Turbo models offer around 26/36/29 mpg. In the U.S., pricing starts around $21,990 for the LX trim and goes up to about $28,090 for the fully equipped GT-Line Turbo.

Owner Impressions
Early drivers appreciate its advanced technology, spacious cabin, and upscale feel for the class. Some feedback mentions the transmission occasionally holding higher RPMs when coasting downhill, but overall impressions remain positive.
